This ride incorporates a visit to the National Glass Centre at Sunderland which will be our cafe stop and will include additional time to have a browse at their free Menagerie exhibition https://www.sunderlandculture.org.uk/whats-on/menagerie/

We will largely be using cycle paths and tracks, but the route will include some road riding.

We will start off on the C2C, dropping down to Fatfield Bridge to cross the river Wear, and climb up to Penshaw so that we can join the Hylton line down to Pallion. We will cross the river again at the Wearmouth bridge before dropping down to the riverside to head to the Glass Centre. Our route back will use the C2C to our start point.

Please check your bike is in good working condition before the day and bring a spare inner tube to fit your tyres. A drink and a helmet are also advised, as well as clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.

You can contact the leader(s) directly via the ‘Message Ride Creator’ tab in the ride posting on Let’s Ride.

We look forward to seeing you.
