2024 Dalkeith picnic ride from Balgreen

This is a day out, so please don't have plans for the afternoon!
Leaving Balgreen tram stop we'll head to Roseburn Park, Russell Road, Fountainpark, the Meadows, and through the Innocent tunnel.
Then into Craigmillar Park and Little France, through Danderhall, past Dobbies, arriving in Dalkeith Country Park by midday.
After our picnic we'll ride through the park to Whitecraig abd Monktonhall. We'll pass Newcraighall and Brunstane train stations before cycling through Bingham Park, Duddingston village, back to the Meadows, up through Bruntsfield Links, on to the canal to Harrison Gardens, before retracing our route through Roseburn Path back to Balgreen tramstop.

Edinburgh and Lothian Breeze picnic ride, meeting other Breezers at Dalkeith Country Park

Mostly on designated cycle routes, with a mix of shared paths and roads

We will stop for photos, catch our breath and to hydrate along the way. Our main stop will be near the courtyard in Dalkeith Country Oark where there is a cafe and toilets

Helmets highly recommended Spare inner tubes plus kit in case of a puncture Means of getting home in case of mechanical breakdown Picnic, money/payment card, something to sit on Clothing to suit the weather Suncream (I'm feeling hopeful!)
