Join Anne and Judy to enjoy the colours of autumn and views up the Aire valley with a road and canal ride to Paceline cafe in Crosshills. After leaving the canal at Canal Rd we will use the cycle lane to travel along Keighley/Bradford Rd turning onto Royd Ings Rd to use the underpass to Utley. We will then go up Green Head Lane and head towards “The Folly”, hopefully enjoying some lovely views of the Aire valley in autumn sunshine. A descent down into Steeton will then take us back to the main road heading towards Crosshills where we will lunch at Paceline bike shop and cafe. For our return journey we will ride along the road back to Utley, going through the golf course and then onto the canal towpath back to 5 Rise. This is a good ride to develop road confidence and does involve a bit of manageable climbing for those looking to develop their riding skills.

Some sections of road may be quite busy.

We will stop as necessary on the less flat sections. Lunch at Paceline, card payment accepted even for just a coffee.

Helmets, raincoats etc and equipment to repair a puncture if necessary
