2 Cake Ride to Rodley Nature Reserve

Join Judy and Lorraine on a more challenging 2 cake ride but definitely achievable.

We will ride along the towpath to Dock Lane in Shipley where we turn off up to Leeds Road and then on to Thackley Old Road. This is a steady climb with a couple of steeper sections which can be walked. Once at Thackley we turn down Ainsbury Avenue through Buck Woods to rejoin the canal towpath. We will then cycle on to Rodley Nature Reserve for our break.
If you fancy doing a bit of birding, bring your binoculars and we can visit one or two of the several hides. There is a Visitor Centre where you can get a hot drink and a snack for a cash donation, but you can also bring your own.

We will then cycle back along the towpath to Hirst Lock

Otherwise you know the drill: Roadworthy Bike, appropriate clothes for the conditions, a few pennies, and means of making contactless payments if needs be.

We will still ride at the pace of the slowest, and no one will be left behind.
