Lymington Tuesday Cycling

Set up in 2008, Lymington Tuesday cyclists are an informal group of bicycle owners who meet on Tuesday mornings for a cycle ride and coffee. We set off in sub-groups riding at an easy to moderate pace. We are not a club and there is no official membership.

The origin of LTC has been to encourage people who are not strong or club cyclists to make a commitment to getting fit enough to cycle LTC distances at the LTC pace. Some of our members have built up to this and others are cyclists who have just got older and slower but still want the sociability of a group ride!

If you can cycle 10 miles in an hour,you'll be fine! We meet in the Lymington town hall car park at 9:30a.m. in the summer (and at 10:00a.m. in the winter when the clocks go back) and cycle about 20 to 25 miles (30 to 40kms) with a coffee stop half way round. Normally we expect to be back in Lymington by 1:00 p.m.

Occasionally, by agreement at the start, we will cycle a bit further (30miles) with a cafe stop in Ringwood or Lyndhurst, or at Lepe beach. In addition to the regular Tuesday morning rides, we sometimes arrange other longer days out for those who want to cycle on a led ride for up to 60 miles (100km), taking all day to do it at a fairly easy pace.
