Fenland Flyers Woman’s Cycling Club

All the Fun of the Flat Fens! A friendly cycling group for women who want to get out and about, have a giggle, enjoy some great company and, of course, hunt down a good cake stop! We’ll have group rides throughout evenings, weekends and outside of term time, with the aim of helping riders gradually build their distance, keep riding through the winter and continue into the summer — making cycling inviting, enjoyable and achievable whatever the weather. Ride Types: MTB Gravel Road cycling Distances - 25–100 miles Who are the rides for? These rides are particularly aimed at people returning to cycling or those who want to build their confidence and distance before joining faster-paced cycling club rides. Our typical pace is around 12–16 mph, helping to bridge the gap between getting back on the bike and joining more speedy club rides. It’s also a chance to test your ability in a relaxed, friendly and non-daunting atmosphere — no pressure and no need to feel intimidated. Pace, distance & timing I’ll always try to include the expected pace, distance and approximate timing in each ride description. This is important so that everyone signing up can make sure the ride is suitable for their speed, fitness, distance and the time they have available. Keeping the group together helps make our rides safe, enjoyable and sociable — with plenty of time for chatting and, naturally, cake!
