Waterside and New Forest Edge

This mainly flat route explores the beautiful Green Park, Southampton to Waterside and the New Forest edge.  Using cycle paths and quiet roads the routes heads through Milbrook housing estate crossing the River Test and onto the famous Eling Tidal Mill. Crossing the toll bridge (free for cyclists) you’ll make your way up a short hill past Eling Church, to the new off road cycle path to Marchwood.  You’ll pass the Saints FC training ground before crossing Marchwood bypass onto the Forest roads. The Bold Forester PH is a good stopping point alternatively another great place is the New Forest Wildlife centre cafe. Heading back you’ll pass the dairy farm and onto Ashurst and Totton before crossing the River Test and through Green Park.
