Bede Park
A circular route of 25.4 miles through beautiful countryside. The route incorporates rural roads and traffic-free lanes of the National Cycle Network, visiting the villages of South Leicestershire. This rolling route starts in the ultramodern surroundings of Bede Park near the centre of Leicester, heading south out of the city before taking in a loop of the time warp villages of Blaby, Willoughby Waterleys, Peatling Magna, Arnesby, Fleckney and Wistow. Each village you'll pass through has its own unique charms - the 15th Century thatched Baker's Arms in Blaby, tiny Peatling Magna's 14th Century All Saints church and Wistow with its Elizabethan hall, 13th century church and deserted medieval village. Why not stop at Wistow to refuel before heading back to Bede Park.
