To Beckenham and Back

A gentle 6.56 mile route on traffic-free paths, tracing South East London's Ravensbourne River. The river, once heavily industrialised, has now been regenerated and is once again attracting flora and fauna to its banks. The destination for the route is the picturesque 96 hectare Beckenham Place Park with its fine parkland, attractive mansion house and ancient woodland. The park also boasts a children's play area so the kids can let off steam before you return home. The route is largely flat, traffic-free and tarmac based, making it suitable for a wide range of riders and bikes.
