Snibston and Stephenson

Starting from Snibston Discovery Museum this 4.5 mile route is almost entirely traffic-free and takes you through Snibston Country Park, the town centre and along Stephenson Way.  Along the route there are clues to Coalville's industrial heritage to look out for.

The route begins by following the Bosworth Trail, route 52 of the national cycle route network, through peaceful Snibston Country Park, past Coalville Town's football ground and into town.  

After the short switchback rise up and over the railway, look out for the National Cycle route 'Millenium milepost' on Phoenix Green, have a quick look to see where you can visit if you follow Route 52 north or south. The route exits the Bosworth Trail at Albert Rd and joins local cycle route no.3 to follow Stephenson Way past Stephenson College and down to Stephenson Industrial Estate.  After passing through the Industrial Estate and taking the cycle path to Ashby Rd the route returns to Snibston.
