Sefton Park and Calderstones Park Circular

This route follows route 56 and starts at the main café within Sefton Park before heading  off to the world famous Penny Lane then onto Calderstones Park where the actual Calderstones can been seen and the Oak tree that is more than a thousand years old.  You then follow virtually the same route back; why not stop for a photo session in Penny Lane?  Then back to Sefton Park to do a lap around the boating lake befoe finally heading back to the cafe.  While in the parks there is plenty of wildlife to see such as birds and squirrels.  You could also bring food to feed the swans and ducks.  This is a very nice route which would suit families.
