The route is part of the ‘Way of the Roses cycle route’ 170 miles coast to coast route between Morecambe and Bridlington but don’t worry as this route is only 8 miles!
There are fantastic views of the River Ouse, Clifton Park and Rawcliffe Bar Country Park on the way out to the midway stop at Skelton Garden Centre, which also has a great cafe.
From here there are 2 possible routes, either traveling back along route 65 and taking in the views missed on the way out, or if feeling adventurous using the shared pedestrian and cycle path down to Rawcliffe Bar Park & Ride.
From Rawcliffe Bar Park & Ride the route picks up NCN 65 and heads back east to the finish of the route at York St John Boat House.
