This 19.4 mile route uses the famous Clyde as it's focal point, following the south bank west to Renfrew, before crossing the river at the Erskine Bridge and following National Cycle Network Route 7 back along the northern bank of the river. There are a number of stopping points on the ride, including cafes in Renfrew and Old Kilpatrick, while the route passes many points of interest, including the Forth and Clyde Canal, The Tall Ship 'Glenlee' and the Glasgow Science Centre. The route does have some hills as it leaves the riverside and is mostly on tarmac with some compacted shale tracks, so hybrid or mountain bikes are advised.
