Ripon to Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal

This is a lovely route which starts from the historic city of Ripon before making your way to Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal.  You head out initially on quiet back roads before quickly getting on to traffic free tracks towards the stunning grounds of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, skirting the beautiful village of Studley Royal. There will be plenty of opportunities to spot the local wildlife, including hares, squirrels and birds along the way as well as the estate’s very own Deer Park. The grounds of the Abbey and Water Gardens are a World Heritage site including scenic lakes and a historic church.  Why not take some time out at the Visitor Centre to enjoy a cup of tea and cake and browse the tempting local delicacies in the shop, before leisurely heading back towards Ripon.
