This is a great family route through Chevin Forest Park. Starting from the Car Park adjacent to the Tea Rooms, the route heads out in a circular direction on a traffic free track. Covering 180 hectares, Chevin Forest Park is made up of woodland, moorland, heathland and rocky crags. It was declared a Local Nature Reserve in 1989 due to the variety of wildlife such as the Green Hairstreak butterfly and Woodcock. There are many paths and bridleways Surprise View to watch these magnificent birds soar if you're fortunate you may see "Yorkshires Red Kite".
