This leisurely 6 mile route from Princess Mary Stadium, is riden on the award winning Spen Valley Greenway, a traffic free green corridor through urban areas boasting beautiful countryside, moorland views, a wildlife reserve and the rolling hills of West Yorkshire.  Following the path of the former Spen Valley railway line opened in 1848. Keen eyed individuals will spot the old railway boundary stones, remnants of the old line, sculptures and short Haiku's written on bridges. Tarmac track with very slight gradient towards Oakenshaw.  This ride is a must for families and new and lapsed cyclists.
