Combe Hay Lane

This 17 mile loop takes in the best of the quiet country lanes and cycle paths to the south west of Bath, in the heart of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route begins at St Gregory's Catholic College in the south west of the city and is soon in the lush rolling countryside, heading west on quiet lanes through Priston towards Paulton before heading south through the town of Midsomer Norton. You'll negotiate the town and nearby Radstock, before heading east on narrow singletrack lanes, following the path of the meandering Wellow Brook as far as the well-preserved village of Wellow, before cutting north through Combe Hay and Southstoke which leads you back to the start/finish point on the outskirts of Bath. The scenery is stunning throughout and there are numerous pubs along the way for rest stops.
