This 11.4 mile route combines suburban roads and the excellent traffic-free Spen Valley Greenway to create a fun loop from Bradford’s Richard Dunn Sports Centre out to Hipperholme.  This flowing route is designed with a variety of gradients and scenery along the way.  The Spen Valley Greenway has plenty of interest, providing a quiet, leafy corridor out of the city. Formerly part of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, the greenway has trailside sculptures, statues and relics of its former railway past scattered along its length. Off the greenway, the gradients get a little steeper with some challenging climbs. However, a stopping point at Kendal’s Ice Cream Parlour is a great way to refuel and rest tired legs!
