Thorncliffe Health and Leisure Centre
This varied route of 6 miles takes us through country parks, past ponds and through historic woodland, along trails and roads around High Green. There are lovely views across to Grenoside and Wortley from parts of the route and plenty of chances to spot the local wildlife. There is a history of mining in this area but Thorncliffe Wood is now a semi-natural ancient woodland and parts of the Trans Pennine Trail follow the route of the old railway.
