Enjoy this beautiful 24 mile mostly traffic free, flat terrain route. Starting at Goddards, the former family home of Noel Terry (of chocolate fame) you'll head past York Racecourse before heading towards the futuristic design of the Millennium Bridge and York's largest green space, Rowntree Park.

After crossing the River Ouse you'll soon leave the busy city behind and join a flat, peaceful cycle path that winds past Bootham (within a stone's throw of the Minster), towards the open countryside of Clifton Ings.

The path leads through some woodland, continues through the pretty village of Overton and onto quiet country lanes which takes you all the way to Beningbrough Hall, Gallery and Gardens. Home to a significant number of portraits from the National Portrait Gallery this gorgeous 18th Century Georgian Country Manor has some spectacular gardens to enjoy, and a well-deserved tea and cake break before heading leisurely back.
