A mostly flat route along the River Clyde heading east into South Lanarkshire to the Cuningar Woodland Project, part of the Commonwealth Games Legacy.

The route starts from the Doulton Fountain, the largest terracotta fountain in the world before setting off through a number of parks and using cycle paths to reach the stopping point at The Cuningar Loop Woodland Park.

The Cuningar Loop Woodland Park is the perfect place to enjoy the fresh air, get some exercise or just relax; with its mountain bike trails, bouldering and visitor’s centre.

The Cuningar Loop historically supplied water to Glasgow. The first Glasgow Water Company's Act was obtained in 1806, and the company began to supply water early in 1809. Before the Victorian Loch Katrine aqueduct project was completed in the 1850's, it supplied water to Glasgow.
