Edenbridge to Chartwell

A steady route of just over 15 miles along Kent's undulating country lanes.  Starting and finishing at Edenbridge Leisure Centre, the route heads to Haxted and around Kent and Surrey golf club.  Heading north towards Limpsfield, there are stunning views of the North Downs, Limpsfield and Brasted Chart.  As well the extensive scenery en route there is plenty of wildlife to observe, flitting hedgerow birds to llamas.

The route continues along lower lanes of Crockham Hill before the effort starts to reach the stunning heights of Chartwell House, set amongst beautiful woodland and landscaped gardens.  'What goes up must come down', after leaving Chartwell House there is an exhilarating downhill stretch to the lovely village of Four Elms before returning to Edenbridge. 

This route would suit the confident, regular, steady cyclist who is looking for an experience of hill climbing before trying the challenging routes.
