The Duddon is a very secluded and little-known valley in the remoter south western Lake District. It has just one quiet road running the length of this dramatic glaciated valley which makes it ideal for a relaxed cycle ride.

You will stop at sites such as the famous Birks Bridge with its rapids and learn about the Froth Pot!

Please note that the total ride time for this event has been extended due to the guided tour element of the ride.

Getting to the start,

From Broughton-in-Furness head towards Duddon Bridge on the A595. At the traffic lights just before Duddon Bridge turn right on to Smithy Lane, signposted Ulpha and Seathwaite. Follow this road for 3 miles, until you see the cattle grid warning sign. If you reach Ulpha Bridge you have gone too far.

The postcode is the closest for Sat Nav purposes.
