Bamber Bridge

Starting from Bamber Bridge, this is a pleasant, seven mile, tree-lined "roll" on dedicated cycle lanes heading for Preston’s Avenham Park. The ride then heads over the Ribble on the Liverpool Road bridge then follows the northern bank of the river before retracing its steps back to Bamber Bridge. Avenham Park is one of Preston's gems; a riverside park built in the Victorian golden age of park building with beautiful Japanese gardens and plenty to do for families. Best of all, the route is largely traffic-free, meaning you can safely enjoy the peace and quiet of this riverside retreat.
