Yr Afon Winter Meander

Lovely 10 Km ride along the river Afon and up to the Gold Mine Waterfalls. The terrain is a mixture of wide forest fire roads and tarmac surfaces, so best suited for mountain bikes or hybrids fitted with mountain bike tyres. Road bikes are not suitable for this ride. There are a couple of sharp inclines, but we can get off and push if necessary. Please bring suitable warm clothing and waterproofs as the weather is very changeable at the moment. The ride will take approx 2 hrs and we will end up back at Coed Y Brenin visitors centre, where we can enjoy some nice hot soup or tea and cake! I would strongly advise the use of helmets for all adults, children will not be allowed on the ride unless they are wearing a helmet. Please bring a spare tube and any necessary tools you may need - ie pump etc. Please remember to bring some money for refreshments! I look forward to seeing you all.
