York to Acaster Malbis

Join us for a nice and breezy autumn ride, on cycling routes and some quiet country lanes. This ride will take us out of York city-centre through Rowntrees Park, on part of route 65 alongside the river before taking us through the countryside to Acaster Malbis. From here, we will take a picturesque loop along quiet country lanes before re-joining the cycle route which will bring us back into York. We will reward ourselves with a coffee and cake stop at the end, perhaps at Dyls Cafe Bar at Skeldergate Bridge. We will aim to return by 11.30am, with approximately 90 minutes’ cycling and a little coffee break. The only requirement is that you have a roadworthy, safe bike that you are confident riding. Bring some water and perhaps a snack to keep your energy levels up, and dress for the weather. You will also need some cash for the cafe stop!
