Breeze Cycle Rides for Women, International Women’s Festival

As part of the York International Women’s festival we’ll be running a few Breeze rides. Led by women for women, Breeze bike rides are delivered by trained volunteer Breeze champions. Rides are friendly, informal and free for women to join. Designed to suit all ages and abilities, they’re the perfect excuse to get out into the great outdoors and explore the local area. Saturday 4th March We’ll meet at Cycle Heaven on Hospital Fields road. If it’s chilli we’ll wait inside where there’s bike parking. Before setting off we’ll do some pre-ride checks together. We’ll then ride a loop through Bishopthorpe, Acaster Malbis, Acaster Selby, Appleton Roebuck and Colton. No one will get left behind. It’s a social ride, so no one will get left behind. There will be two Breeze champions so we can split the group if we feel we need to go at different paces. We have 2 options for a cafe stop and we’ll make a design once we know numbers. Either Ye Old Sun Inn in Colton or D’oyly’s in Bolton Percy. Both do good coffee and cake!!! Please bring money for the cafe stop, a waterproof if the weather’s looking mixed, a drink, snack if you need it, a pump, spare inner tube and tools to fix a puncture just incase. This decision will be made at 7pm the previous evening and you will be notified if you have signed up. The numbers on rides may be limited and start times and location vary depending on the route.
