If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.

Be a part of the Men’s and Women’s British National Circuit Race Championships 2013 with Sky Ride Local. City of York Council and British Cycling are giving 100 York residents the opportunity to ride the Championship route hours before the elite riders take to the course.

This ride is one of four free, guided rides on Sunday 21 July that will take local residents and families into York City Centre for a once in a lifetime cycle race experience. Riders will enjoy a gentle ride into the city; all riders will then take part in a lap of the elite route alongside British Cycling Ride Leaders. This is a fantastic opportunity for local families and residents to get involved with the National Circuit Race Championships 2013.

Please note:

Each ride will be taking riders to the event only. There will not be a return ride back to the start point, please plan your own journey home.
