Come and join us on this lovely 9 mile spin. We'll head out of Brigg on a quiet road alongside the Ancholme to Cadney and then on to Howsham. You might see a heron, swans, or maybe a seal!!!
Ideal for those looking to re-discover cycling – it's as easy as ABC(H)

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to allow time for the necessary checks. If you are showing any coronavirus symptoms, or if you or any of your household are self-isolating, please stay at home. This is a steady ride from Brigg to Howsham, aiming for an average speed of around 8-9 miles an hour (which is a very manageable pace). This ride may be a good one for ladies looking to get started with group rides, or who may be nervous of riding on the roads. We will ride at the speed of the slowest rider, and no one will be left behind.

After introductions and basic mechanical checks, we will ride along Cadney Road alongside the Ancholme and through North Lincolnshire countryside to our café destination. This route is suitable for any roadworthy bike – please make sure your tyres are well pumped up.

As with all our rides, I strongly recommend you bring the appropriate inner tubes for your bike, with the tools necessary to change them. This seems to be the best talisman to ensure you won't need them! You will also need to bring a drink (and snacks) for the ride, and money for the cafe. Of course, come dressed suitably for the conditions, with no flappy clothes or laces. Lycra is purely optional, helmets and gloves are strongly recommended. Please ensure you bring a face covering, and a small amount of hand gel for your personal use (eg in the event you require first aid).

We’re a friendly bunch, you’re welcome to come and meet us on Facebook Breeze Network - North Lincolnshire. We will always ride at the speed of the slowest rider and no rider will be left behind. If you have any specific medical requirements which may be relevant to the ride, please ensure the ride leader is aware of them at the start of the ride – feel free to have a quiet word.
