Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour. A delightful ride for all the family taking in some local history and many wonderful watery views beyond Mosborough, Beighton and Sothall on the south eastern boundary of the city. This ride explores a disused railway and the reclaimed open cast mining site which is now Rother Valley Country Park. The route is essentially flat with a few short ascents over bridges, which can be easily walked if necessary, and a number of 'squeeze gates' for bikes and pedestrians along the way.
