The route climbs gradually up out of Hinchliffe Mill onto Cartworth Moor. We will stop for a refuel at the Windmills Cafe before decending into Millhouse Green to join the Trans Pennine Trail to Dunford Bridge. There is a short climb up to Winscar Reservoir after which we retrace the route back to the start.
The route is on quiet country roads with 4.5 miles traffic free.
there is plenty of opportunity to stop and enjoy the views and take photos. there will be a Cafe stop after 10mls.
Bring water and a windproof jacket as even on a summers day there can be a chilly wind up on the moors and on the TPT.
