Starting point

Greater Manchester

Starting from The Forum car park at Wythenshawe , we head out over to the viewing platform at Manchester Airport , hopefully see an airbus take off or land as well as having a nosey at Concorde !!
We then ride through the tunnel under the runways and head south through the meandering lanes of Cheshire to Jodrell Bank before heading back through Chelford and coming in from the opposite end of Wythenshawe .

This is a ride I first created in January 2016 , originally created on Strava !!! It proved to be a good ride , please make sure you either bring some coins for parking , or download the app which is the better option as if we are running late you can add time onto your parking . Please look into car sharing , and share fuel costs and parking costs . I will be driving from Billinge and have space for 3 bikes and riders . We start from the Wythenshawe Forum Centre, Forum Square car park , and head off to the airport viewing area , get a glimpse of concorde , and maybe a good team pic with a plane taking off or landing behind us . ( sorted this bit out from last time ) . We then head south along some pleasant lanes to Jodrell bank where we will stop for a bite to eat , before returning around the other end of the airport . 30 miles thereabouts , a really good ride this one!

one or two busier roads , quite a few quieter roads

Manchester Airport viewing area (concorde) . Also Jodrell Bank Observatory .

tools , tubes , a pump , suitable clothing for the conditions . some cash for emergencies , and also lunch . Helmet

This is a 30 miler with a few hills , please make sure you can do the distance , we ride at an average pace of around 9 /11 mph
