Woo Woo Meets TDY

A circular route to take us to meet the TDY women's race as they pass through Austerfield at 11.30am before returning back to Doncaster with ample time to get ready to see the end of the Men's race at 5.15pm Meet at the Pavilion at Cantley Park at 8.30am with a view to setting off at 8.45am, we'll be taking a leisurely ride over a mix of on and off road tracks and trails, the odd few bits of roadwork, some bits possibly busy but only short stretches, whilst the off road bits should be pretty easy riding with only a few patches of potentially wet and muddy areas - so a road bike is probably going to be okay in the most part, you may just find the muddy bits a bit too challenging to ride it through, but we are happy to waiy for anyone that struggles with the mud. Our aim is to reach Bawtry Road near Austerfield by 11.30 am to watch the leaders of the womens race arriving at that point shortly afterwards - we'll be having a cafe stop mid way before reaching this point at the excellent Bank End Farm Fisheries cafe. Once the TDY has cleared we'll be heading back to Doncaster via a very circuitous route which will take you across Rossington, into Wadworth (Pub stop!) and then Balby, leading us to Doncaster Lakeside (where if you fancy another pub/food stop before the end of the ride we can pop in to the Lakeside pub and have lunch), then it is on to the end of the ride again at Cantley Park. Unlike the TDY ladies we're in no rush and will be going at our usual leisurely pace and taken rest stops etc as and when anyone wishes. Don't be put off by the total ride distance, you can always hop on or off of the route at anytime to suit, but unfortunately we wont be able to escort you off route.
