About the route
An all day 42 mile ride of mainly traffic free - mainly flat with a few gentle hills. Ride over to Hemel Hempstead where the Grande Finale of the Women's Tour of Britain took place.
Along the Ayot Greenway and the Nicky line then return along some quiet country lanes - with a morning coffee stop, lunch and a relaxing stop in a quiet country pub on the way home.
It is advised that at the very least you bring with you a spare inner tube that will fit the tyres on your bike
