Free, women-only bike rides led by experienced Breeze Champions. They are a great way to get started in cycling or to improve your skills, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist.

A chance for a nice Summer's evening pootle to see the Women of Steel Statue at Barker's Pool. Meet the Beer Garden, rear of New Barrack Tavern. entrance through side gate, at left hand side of the pub. All bikes welcome, we will take the cycle route adjacent to Penistone road, then cycle down through the Old industrial area of Kelham Island, before going in to the city centre to see the Women of Steel Statue. we will then return via the cycle route to Hillsborough. Comfortable clothing suited to the time of year, or if you want to Dress up as the Women of Steel, or if you have one, wear your Rosie the Riveter Jersey with Pride. Helmets are optional. Please also carry essentials such as inner tubes, bike pump, multi tool, puncture kit, rain wear, snacks and drinks. Please make sure you have working lights, as they may be required for the journey home!! We will spend a while at the statue for photo's, also along the route, we will point out places of importance for Women and Women's issues. On returning to our start point, we can enjoy a drink or two at The New Barrack Tavern. There isn't a car park at the pub, but plenty of on road parking near by. I look forward to riding with you, and sharing this wonderful celebration of all things Woman!!
