About the route.
This is a nice easy going ride starting in the grounds of Wollaton Hall, Wollaton, Nottingham. The halls main entrance is at the front of the building overlooking the deer strewn lawns cascading down hill to the main car park and children's play area.
From here we follow the pathway down to the left of the hall and past the old stable yard to head towards the country trail which wraps around the main lake and woods. After riding through the tree line and out the other side we leave the park and head along road and cycle path to Beeston train station where we aim for Beeston Lock and the entrance to Attenborough Nature reserve. Following the River Trent we wind along until we reach the Erewash Trail turn off, head right and end up at the Visitor Centre before returning to Beeston Station via Attenborough Village, Beeston Lock again and the cycle path we came in on. There is a small hill at the end of the ride to get back up to the main entrance of the hall, and the finishing line.

IMPORTANT: A helmet MUST be worn, no helmet no ride. We travel with no mech or medic so self sufficiency is essential, bring waterproofs and whatever inner tubes and puncture kits, equipment etc you may need. We tend to travel with tyre levers and a pump, but just in case.
Sometimes we stop off for refreshments but please bring snacks and water bottles.
