Winter Wheels Chain Gang

A road ride for ladies who are confident on their bike. The route may vary, depending on weather and light due to the time of year. A road bike, or light weight hybrid bike with skinny style road tyres are best suited to this ride. (Please contact me if unsure, Thanks) Other equipment you may need are a helmet, lights which are fully working, front and back, inner tubes/puncture repair kit, drinks and snacks. As this ride is a late Autumn/Winter ride please ensure your kit is warm and comfortable, and that you are kitted out to cycle in all weather conditions. (NB? If weather is particularly bad rides will be cancelled) On this ride we will ride along where possible in a chain gang formation, in pairs and riding as a group. We will practise skills such as drafting, changing positions, taking turns at front, back, & middle of group. So a good knowledge of group riding and on road etiquette, would be appreciated. On climbs, we will make our own way up, at our own speed and regroup at the junction at the top of the climb. No one will be left behind. The route will generally be as many laps of Dam Flask as we can fit in to the time allocated. This means the ride could be anything from 5-10+ miles depending how many laps we manage to do. (I hope as a rule it'll be two laps). There wont be a cafe stop. Although we could go for a drink after the ride. (If people want to.)
