Starting point

BD18 3LA

All Terrain Cycles, Salts Mill, Saltaire.

This ride is a steady return route from Saltaire, we'll make sure we go at a speed to suit the group. As the weather can be unpredictable in December we'll decide on the route nearer the date, however the route is likely to be a mix of road and towpath and we're aiming to avoid steep hills as much as possible today! The towpath is a good surface to cycle on but it isn't tarmac, so we'd recommend that your bike has tyres with some tread on them rather than slick tyres. What to wear? Please bear in mind that it can be cold in December so make sure you are dressed warmly, it may be worth bringing an extra layer to put on when we take a break. What to bring with you? Bring some water and some food if you think you'll want a snack en route. We'll make a cafe stop during the ride so bring some money if you want to purchase food and drink. It is useful to carry a spare inner tube that fits your bike. It isn't essential to wear a cycle helmet but we strongly recommend that you do. We will meet at All Terrain Cycles, Salts Mill, Saltaire. BD18 3LA. The ride will leave at 10.30am so please a little before then so we are ready to leave on time. PLEASE NOTE: IF COMING BY CAR, THE CAR PARK POSTCODE IS BD17 7EH. Please use the car park at the back of All Terrain, there is plenty of free parking there and using BD17 7EH with Sat Navs will take you to the car park access.
