Winter Breeze in the Park

Mindful of other Park users, we will cycle a few undulating (!) loops in Windsor Great Park for 14 miles or so to enjoy the lovely scenery. The route can largely be decided as we go and we will re-group as necessary. Given the colder weather and the largely traffic free environment, the aim is to maintain a good pace of around 10/11mph average to keep us warm.
As we will be solely in the Great Park, places are limited in line with Park rules.
Given the later start time, there will be an optional cafe stop at Savill Gardens after around 9/10 miles (please note that there are no loo facilities at the start of the ride.)
Please do take the time to check your bike before departing (tyres correctly inflated, brakes working and chain lubed) and bring with you a spare inner tube suitable for your bike.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for this ride as it’s all on tarmac. Do dress appropriately for the prevailing weather conditions (could be sunnies and thermals!)
