Starting point

BS25 1HD

The Woodborough Inn Sandford Road, Winscombe, North Somerset

We’ll be riding out from Winscombe, around Crooks Peak via Barton & Webbington to Cross. We then carefully cross the A38 to Weare, heading past Chapel Allerton, on to Clewer and Cheddar. We then drop down onto The Strawberry Line, heading back via Axbridge, through the tunnel, on to Winscombe. It’s a lovely, scenic route, hilly in places, including a large section of The Strawberry Line. We’ll stop at The Pantry in Winscombe, at the end of our ride, for a warming drink or bite to eat afterwards. This ride is ideal for the average cyclist that can whizz along on the flat and ride comfortably for 17 miles / 2 hours. Newcomers are always very welcome, but we suggest you make contact with the local Champion beforehand, to make sure that this ride is suitable for you. This ride is best suited to road/racing bikes. Contact Emma Ruffle, local Champion: Tel: 07718 376168 [email protected] https://www.facebook.com/bikeridesforwomensomerset/ We look forward to seeing you on our bike ride!
