Winchester to Cheriton

Heading out of Winchester through the scenic villages of Easton, Avington and Ovington and climbing up Rodfield Lane to reach Lane End. It’s mostly downhill as we pass through Beauworth and Cheriton where we hope to stop for refreshments at the Thursday community cafe. (if we are running late there are several places to stop in Alresford) We will be cycling back via Fobdown, Abbotstone and Itchen Abbas.
The ride has plenty of ups and downs, but we will give everyone the chance to admire the views and take a breather when needed. We will mainly be on quiet roads, but will ride safely together on any busier ones.
Please make sure you have
-A roadworthy bike & helmet
-Kit to fix a puncture (inner tube, tyre lever, pump)
-Water
-Suitable clothing for weather conditions
-Cash / card for refreshments (cash is probably preferred by community cafe)
-Lock for your bike
