We leave Winchelsea Beach and cycle through the Nature Reserve and into Rye. Once on the Udimore Road we veer off onto a track (used by many cyclists) which leads us to the bottom of Dumb Woman's Lane. From here we take the lane to Winchelsea, going up into the town and out again via Monk's Walk and Wickham Rock Lane. Cycling along Laurel Lane we will come into Icklesham, after just under 1/4 mile on the main road we turn into Watermill Lane which will bring us out onto the Pett Road, we turn right and then onto Rosemary Lane followed by Pett Level Road - this then takes us back to the Winchelsea Beach Cafe for refreshments. 10 miles of this route are very flat, the other 8 are undulating.
