Starting from - Winchelsea Beach as close to the Winchelsea Beach Café as possible. Please remember your cycle helmet, spare inner tube, pump, water to drink on the ride and money for refreshments at the end Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time so that we can do our safety checks and go through the route. It is important that you check that your bike is fully roadworthy, good brakes, gears that work and tyres that are pumped to the correct pressure – thanks, TN36 4NG

Starting point

Starting close to the Winchelsea Beach Café we cycle through the nature reserve into Rye Harbour and then into Rye. From here we go out onto the Military Road for a mile and then ride up through Houghton Green into Iden. Using Coldharbour Lane we go across to Peasmarsh and up to Four Oaks. We then turn left and then left again onto Kings Bank Lane, then Horseshoe Lane which takes us up to the Udimore Road. After just under 2 miles we turn right onto Float Lane, after another 2 miles we turn right onto Winchelsea Lane. This takes us past Winchelsea station and we will then cycle past the bottom of Winchelsea town and out onto Sea Road which takes us along to Winchelsea Beach and back to the café. We have a choice of coffee stops, at about 11 miles in Peasmarsh, one of the pubs in Winchelsea Beach or the Winchelsea Beach café at the end of the ride.
