This route takes us from Harrow Civic Centre via Wembley into Brent, to visit Willesden Jewish Cemetery as part of the Open House Festival https://programme.openhouse.org.uk/listings/6847 We can see the Heritage Centre and walk round the cemetery using a self-guided trail. Famous 'residents' include Rosalind Franklin, scientist whose work played a key role in the discovery of the genetic code; Harriet Samuel, who founded the jewellery chain H Samuel; Arnold Weinstock, who built the electrical engineering empire GEC; and the painter Mark Gertler. More information on https://www.willesdenjewishcemetery.org.uk We'll spend about an hour there and then repair to Roundwood Park nearby for refreshments. The return journey goes slightly further north, passing near Wembley Stadium and Northwick Park. Ride times are approximate and we always ride at the pace of the slowest.
