A shortish route incorporating a mix of cycle track and mainly unclassified roads, that takes in a couple of steady hills before we reach Wildflower Cafe for coffee. From Wildflower cafe, it is mostly downhill back to our starting point at blackpill. Subject to weather and agreement of riders on the day, there is an option to extend the route by a further 3 miles before heading for refreshments.
Blackpill to Dunvant on the outgoing route will be along the Clyne valley cycle path, and on the return journey we rejoin the cycle path at the Railway Inn to drop down to Blackpill. Other than short sections on the A 4118 and B4271, we will be cycling on fairly quiet unclassified roads.
We will be stopping at the Wildflower Café for refreshments, so please bring money with you for any refreshments that you require..
Riders are advised to wear helmets and ensure that their bikes are roadworthy. It is always useful to carry a pump, puncture repair kit and a spare inner tube. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather and money for refreshments.
Although not a long route, we will be riding on roads and there are a few hills along the way, so the route is not designed for beginners. We try and ride together as a group, but nobody gets left behind. Newcomers are always welcome. As well as road bikes and hybrids, this route is also suitable for e bikes.
