Wigan - Living the Dream - 26 miler

This great route uses cycle paths, off road trail and quiet rural roads to reach your destination. You may have seen Dream from the M62 and wondered what it was all about. Dream was created in 2009 to honour the human heritage of the Sutton Manor Colliery site and pay a lasting tribute to the history of coal-mining in St.Helens. It is set amongst woodland of Sutton manor, with well laid paths. The site offers good views across the Cheshire and Lancashire plains, out to the mountains of Snowdonia, the Pennines, the Peak District, and some of Manchester's landmarks. There;s a chance to have a break at the top to admire the views before heading back.
