Wheelbirks Parlour...
Saturday 28th Jan '23 - 10:30am - 22 miles
Expect to be out for about 3.5-4hrs
(There is the option to do an additional 6 miles, joining and finishing at Clara Vale. Send us a message if you want to join us at Clara.)

Ride description:
We'll use a combinations of cycle paths and roads to get to Wheelbirks Parlour ...

According to their website... "Experience and indulge in the freshest of Wheelbirks award winning ice cream, milkshakes and luxury ice cream desserts all produced just a few hundred yards from your seat. Also serving a range of fresh food, coffees, speciality teas and cold drinks. Take in the beautiful views of Northumberland countryside while enjoying the best in home cooked foodl made using our very own dairy products and the best quality locally sourced ingredients."

The route Involves a hill that gives the legs and lungs a workout on the way there (with a couple of points to get your breathe back!), but, as a linear route, it becomes a downhill on the way back!
Suitable for all bike types.

Please make sure your bike is in working condition PRIOR to arriving for the ride and bring a spare inner tube to fit your tyres (check the valve type too!) and/or a puncture repair kit. The leaders can help you fix a puncture, but only if you have the right size inner tube for your bike or a puncture repair kit!
Whilst we welcome any bike type, we have zero knowledge of e-bikes, so if you are riding an e-bike, please come prepared to independently sort out any mechanicals that you may have.

Helmets are not mandatory, but are strongly advised.

If the weather is poor, we will only contact you if we are cancelling the ride and will do so by putting a message in the ‘conversation’ tab in the ride. You should receive a notification by email if there is a message. If you have not heard from us we are still riding.

If you book on this ride and then find you have to cancel, please do so as soon as you can so that your place is available to someone else.

PHOTOGRAPHY - The organiser of the ride may take photographs or videos of the ride and riders for publicity purposes. By registering to participate in the ride, you agree that photographic images of you or containing you, may be used by the organiser, sponsors or promoters of the ride for publicity purposes
