Full Gas Bikes, 2 Fox Valley Way, Stocksbridge, Sheffield
This hilly route takes us from Full Gas Bikes to Upper Midhope and up some quite steep climbs around the lanes to Bolsterstone. We'll start off with a loop through Upper Midhope and around Midhope reservoir before doing another loop through Bolsterstone, past Broomhead Reservoir and back along Mortimer Road and up the very steep climb of Deliverance (the steep bit is short, so don't worry about walking it if you need to). The route follows the same roads as a fortnight ago, but in the opposite direction. There are some stiff climbs so there's plenty of chance to stretch the legs and keep warm in the cooler weather. We'll return to Full Gas for coffee and cake at the end of the ride.
Although there are challenging climbs in this ride, we’ll take it steady and stop for breathers whenever we need to. If you need to walk up any of the steeper bits, that is fine – we won’t leave anyone behind.
