About the route
Starting point
South Yorkshire S36 2DS
This route takes us from Full Gas Bikes at Fox Valley, Stocksbridge and climbs up the Cote de Midhopestones and along Mortimer Road before turning left onto Penistone Road. Before we reach High Bradfield we'll turn left onto Bolsterstone Road and right onto Onesacre Road and continue to Oughtibridge. From there we have a challenging climb up Jawbone towards Grenoside and continue through the woods until we loop back round to return to Full Gas. There are some challenging hills on this ride, but we'll stop for breathers if we need to and, as always, there is no pressure to go faster than you are comfortable with. No one will get left behind! IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS We recommend that all participants wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). If you have a mechanical problem we will do our best to assist you and/or lend you an inner tube or repair kit if we can, but it is always best to be self-reliant. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone. DISCLAIMER This is a purely social group of like-minded people sharing a love of cycling, it is not a formal organisation nor does it have any form of legal structure. You are free to choose to ride with us but in doing so please note that you do so in acceptance that this is entirely at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or injury suffered as a result of your participation. Please also read the terms and conditions on the website.
