Wheel Do It! with Full Gas Bikes - a little taste of the Tour de Yorkshire

To celebrate the announcement of the route for Stage 3 of the Tour de Yorkshire, here is your chance to try out some of the roads the pros will race along on their way to the finish at Fox Valley. We'll start from Full Gas Bikes and head out through Deepcar to pick up the tour route near Wortley Top Forge. From there we'll complete a loop that includes five challenging climbs. The route passes by Fox Valley after the first climb, so you could finish then if you like (total of 7.5 miles) or there is the option of a shortcut after the fourth climb (total of 16 miles). Although the climbs are challenging, we'll take our time and it is OK to walk up the steeper bits if you need to. No-one will be left behind! IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS We recommend that you wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). If you have a mechanical problem we will do our best to assist you and/or lend you an inner tube or repair kit if we can, but it is always best to be self-reliant. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone.
